Course objective: The development of language skills and competencies, that are necessary in the activities of a foreign language teacher in the framework of the updated content of education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, further improvement of communicative and intercultural skills and the formation of professional competencies of students provided for level C1. Teaching a foreign language for special purposes involves the needs of students in the language under study, dictated by the characteristics of the future profession. This is seen as its main difference from teaching the basic foreign language.
Brief description: The course is aimed at further improving proficiency in speaking and writing, listening comprehension, reading skills, as well as developing correct pronunciation, grammatical and lexical skills in the amount provided for С1 level. The course includes the following aspects: home reading, writing descriptions of authentic texts listening to authentic texts of various genres (dialogues and monologues) in English.
